this is punta banda
in a 5 gallon bucket.
test plant no feed no frills just hung it upside down and left it
nov-3rd-2012 we have had 5 hard frost by now and 2" of snow
but the temp is 10 deg's above normal for now
low to mid 30 at night and high of 49 in the day
yet this little plant sets away.
some stress is now showing vine is getting a purple hue to it.
fruit is dry now and real slow to ripen up
i think it will get a clone from this plant
in my world this is a keeper for sure.
took the heat
no feed
little water
test plant upside down
set blooms in a bad year
long shelf life
taste good
made it past 5 frosts and 2" of snow
nov-3rd- and still rollen on
ps: this test plant was also
inoculated with every bad thing
from other plants this season
Powdery mildew to early blight
most of the mother plants
did not recover, yet this little
plant did. yield was low
but i put to the test of all tests
just to do it. and i saved seed.
look at the base stock it is scared up bad from
5 Inoculations of each ill plant this year.
