there are potentially some corporate logos in the background of my photos here and there but i want to say that i do NOT endorse them. i re-use garbage and try to ignore the branding.

i have 2 sets of bee crossed plants from a long brandywine, green zebra x long f1 and hog heart x long f1. i ripped off a fruit from the zeeb cross a few days ago and almost cried, but now some new fruits are already forming and i can exhale a sigh of relief. both have heterozygous leaf types which look really cool, and the hog heart cross has a delicate wispyness to the leaf.

here is long brandywine x green zebra F1. i know that vintage wine is from 6 parent lines originally and that sudduth brandywine and green zebra were 2 of them. this cross of mine is a bee creation and i was wondering if anyone knew of other varieties that are from similar crosses. long brandywine is a sudduth that was selected by the long family for 50-60 years. with heterozygous gs and leaf type, this one still shows stripes and smooth leaves.

Here is another bee cross! I'll grow out the F2 and see what we get... Any ideas of who the father plant might have been? It looks to me like it was a paste tomato or a heart. I am going to cut these open this weekend and save the seeds.

Long Brandywine x Green Zebra F1: cross section: in comparison to Pink Berkley Tie Dye, there really is no comparison. this hybrid grows, tastes, and looks better in my opinion. i am surprised to see such strong striping in the F1, and to see how dark it is. another surprise is the clear skin which should not be the case if green zebra has yellow skin. mysterious.
