apios is american groundnut. it is a leguminous perennial native crop that is almost extinct. i hope to propagate them and breed them into the future.

i agree wiz, the apios and other pre-columbian crops are often the best in terms of edibility and ease of human use. here are some more photos:

Wooow, uz to što je jestiva biljka, izgleda veoma dekorativna, kod nas u
hrvatskoj bi bila hit biljka:)

please feel free to speak croatian here. i can use the google translate easily. diversity in languages is a good thing.
slobodno govoriti hrvatski ovdje. ja mogu koristiti Google Translate lako. Raznolikost u jezicima je dobra stvar.

it should be able to. it is commonly cultivated in southeastern asia since it was brought there from here. good luck finding a source. you might have better luck looking in for it in asia. it is a common veggie in korea. i will have to wait a number of years before i can start distributing mine. they are too young to take out of the earth and they are not yet producing seeds. this crop could stand to be revitalized worldwide considering how valuable it is for sustainable agriculture systems, and nutrition.
