I aquired seed from a friend on another forum who added a sweet gene {SU} to Blue and Pink Hopi corn..last year I only grew the blue, dry farmed it and did nothing special to the depleted sandy soil out in the back property, this corn was amazing to say the least it had the biggest ears i have ever seen and was a taste treat!! The average size of the stalks were 12 feet and all of the stalks produced 2 giant ears, i am hoping the same results for the pink will be forthcomming. Joeseph is the man who bred this one, i also got some seed from Dar Jones for his Cherokee Squaw corn it also has an SU gene,I got it to late to plant this year..also In the front field i have some Amanda Palmer corn from Alan Bishop, I didnt get very much seed, lets put it this way, the are past my knee and the 4th was a couple days ago!!
