You know, I got seeds a couple of years ago...I wonder if they're still viable. I had forgotten them. Thanks for reminding me- maybe I should go try to find them.

I started rhubarb from seed several years ago. It only lasted about a year, and I haven't tried again since.

rhubarb is at home in my climate so im gonna try. they are buckwheats too like PA smartweed and japanese knotweed. it makes the same acid that is in oxalis, wood sorrel (oxalic acid). i know the leaves are toxic, but i see now that the root is used in essiac tea. what does the root do medicinally?

i have a big ol' bottle of esiak tea concentrate i traded for some seeds at white earth. it is one of four parts rhubarb root, and then also burdock, slippery elm, and sheep sorrel.
