For me an ornamental nightshade because of its foliage covered in spikes. I read somewhere that this is used as a flavoring of drinks somewhere in the Americas. tasted one fruit and the inside is like a miniature passionfruit. I couldn't describe exactly the flavor but it is sweet and tarty.
