Anybody planning anything different? What worked this year and what didn't work?

the best fairing tomatoes for me last season in the heat, dry and disease were punta banda, kamatis tagalog, nichols, grungy in the sky, skykomish, turtle purple, cheesmanii, yellow currant, matts wild, ciudad victoria, blue pitts, shadow boxing, night hawk, xitomatula, and evan's purple pear.
the worse fairing tomatoes due to disease and drought were pink berkley tie dye, red furry boar, stump of the world, blush, hog heart, perfect storm, tlacolula, liguria, healthy colors, kentucky beefsteak. these would have all done better with irrigation and after a winter with a hard freeze to knock off disease. i think i would grow any of them again except pink berkley tie dye, and stump of the world, which cannot handle my growing conditions well enough to make a single worthwhile fruit. rebel yell died mid season without having ever flowered. i planted 5 of them.
from now on i will be focusing primarily on drought tolerance, heat set, and disease resistance in all my PA bred tomatoes. punta banda, kamatis tagalog, nichols, and skykomish are very promising for their various reasons and i will use them in breeding work into the future.
